You know how it goes. You’re enjoying the first half of a musical, which has killer songs, killer jokes and killer dialogue, with the story and music reaching a nice peak just before the interval.
Then, you return for the second half and the songs … just kind of tail off a bit. The story wraps itself up but when you leave the theatre, it’s the songs from the first half that stick with you.
This phenomenon is all too common in musicals. I’m calling for stronger second halves!
