London Palladium, London

When I went: 20 May 2011, 4 May 2013, 12 November 2015

Shows seen there: A Chorus Line, Cats, The Wizard of Oz

Size: Huge

Typical price: Varied (upper circle tickets from around £30 up to premium stalls tickets around £100)

Special points: Proximity to Oxford Street shops

Where to eat beforehand: 28-50 degrees

Comments:

The Palladium is one of my favourite theatres, with plenty of space to stretch your wings and a short walk from Oxford Street. It tends to put on ‘classic’ shows such as The Sound of Music, Sister Act and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – it doesn’t tend to host the edgier, newer shows.
