When I went: 9 July 2011, 5 April 2017
Shows seen there: The Boy Friend, My Fair Lady
Size: Small
Typical price: Cheap (sometimes tickets are available for £10)
Where to eat beforehand: Bread Street Kitchen, Humble Grape
Special points: Value, location near St Paul’s
Comments:
The Bridewell Theatre hosts amateur productions such as those by Geoids, and often releases great-value tickets. Its location near St Paul’s means it is separate from the West End theatres.
The staff are friendly and there is a bar downstairs (which sells popcorn, although not ice cream). The seats are not very comfortable if you are there for a long production.
