Piccadilly Theatre, London

When I went: 20 November 2010

Shows seen there: Grease

Size: Fairly big

Typical price: Various (from around £30 to around £60 depending on seat placement)

Special points: Proximity to shops and restaurants

Where to eat beforehand: BalthazarIvy Market GrillGauthier Soho

Comments:

This theatre is not one of the glitzier ones in London but is well-sized and has hosted classic musicals such as Grease, Ghost and Guys and Dolls, as well as the short-lived Viva Forever.

It is extremely well-located in terms of proximity to good shops and restaurants and the prices don’t tend to reach the heights of those at, for instance, the Savoy Theatre.
